Dear TAS friends,
2020 in Lebanon has been a year like no other.
Covid19, economy and currency collapse, Beirut explosion, poverty and many other troubles hit Lebanon during 2020. It was really a horrible year for millions of people here. We are praying Allah to make this year (2021) merciful on people who are living in this small spot of the world.
Despite everything, we are incredibly proud of what we have been able to accomplish in our community during 2020. With your support, we were able to help over 2000 Syrian refugees' students in Tuyoor Al-Amal Schools to complete their meaningful education for 2019-2020 academic school year. In addition, we were able to distribute food and cash for approximately 300 families from Syrian refugees' community during Ramadan and after Ramadan.
This is a special call for all our friends who believe in our sacred mission to help and save the future of thousands of Syrian refugees' children.
As we enter the 2021 year, we return to you and we have great concerns that we may not be able to pay teachers' salaries, which became $100 after it was more than $400 last years.
We depended mainly on our first three months on parents who are able to pay $40 as a tuition for the completely academic school year many (parents are not able to afford this simple amount).
We need to raise $60,000 (U.S.) for the next five months to keep the doors of learning open for hundreds of students. Please consider making a gift today to help educate a Syrian child and ensure his/her future.
What is the impact of my donation?
A $ 50 donation enables 1 Syrian child to attend school at Tuyoor Al-Amal school in Lebanon for the next five months.
A donation of $100 pays the salary of 1 teacher in Tuyoor Al-Amal Schools for one month.
Many thanks for our partners For The Unseen who already donated of $10,000 to help the school to buy a bus school for our 1st school.
The bus will carry the children who are not able to pay the transportation fee from home to school safely.
Since 2013, Tuyoor Al-Amal schools played an essential role in assisting thousands of Syrian refugee children living in Tripoli and its suburbs return to school and complete their education.
